This is a clip of the upcoming movie called ‘Thor: The Dark World’. In the clip there is low key lighting, this was used to show that the person is a bad character in the movie as he is in a dark place where it is all black which implies evil. When the character is being introduced, top lighting is shown, this illustrates that the person is waking. When the camera zooms on the characters face, the top light creates shadows around the characters eyes; this also suggests that he is a villain. The character then begins to walk towards the back light which creates part of the man to become a silhouette. The camera is moved to another person who has top lighting on him which also suggests that he is being woken up amongst many other people in rows. This shows that the man at the beginning is the leader as he had his own rest place whereas others had to share a big area. While the character awakes there are red lights surrounding him and there is still low key lighting; the black and red areas reveal blood and death comes with the characters. The camera is then turned back onto the main character top lighting is used again to create shade around the characters eyes to portray that he is a villain. Also the camera is angled upwards from below the villain whilst he is looking away; this suggests that the villain is intimidating and very powerful.
